Nice work

I really like the blue girl :)

TheTrueBigBoss responds:

THANK YOU! :DDD
I think my heart just stopped :O

delicous

I love seeing traditional media on NewGrounds, especially well-executed pieces like this one.
It's fantastic and if I'm correct this is impressionism at it's finest.
Congrats on the front pager too!

I have no words

other than...i love this.
Watercolors hold a special place in my heart but this one painting is especially lively.

dreamzmighty responds:

Thank you very much! This one was fun to make. Mostly because it's silly. And I'm still figuring out what colors to emphasize and which ones are okay to leave out. Haha.

tee hee!

She is adorable! Her expression is so playful.

If you want to improve I would suggest you do what I did: I grabbed a bunch of Shane Glines, Josh Agle and Derek Yaniger works as well as Bizarro's stuff and keep it in a file and look at it to study how stuff's drawn and branch out into my own style.

I'm going to watch you. I want to see you blossom.

JordanKinsley responds:

Thank you very much! That means a lot to me, I will continue to draw because of people like you. you are very encouraging =)

ah, flawless

Flawless cartooning. It's hilarious, cute, and I can identify with the character. Congrats on the frontpager!

love it

I love the grittiness and the minimal use of color
fab as usual.

Aw youre always beeing so nice!

Hm.

Having been suicidal myself this image means a lot to me emotionally.
I remember being on the brink of taking my own life trying to make some happiness out of my despair, essentially barricading myself in my room so I wouldn't be disturbed.
The glowing and happy nature of the man's expression and position on the chair which is about to tip over seems almost natural. 'At last I will be free from what's making me sad!' is the sentence that comes to mind.
I especially love how he is very colorful against the dreary background.

The fact that he wouldn't choke on the rope even standing on the ground (based on his height) gives the viewer a sort of hopeful vibe that maybe he'll come to his senses and realize that all of his problems are fixable.

hmm

You need some refining in some places, like the placement of the letters and the 'buttons'.
However, the shading is superb for something done in MSPaint. I love the palette you've chosen for the blue fire, it's perfect.

Oblivion17 responds:

I completely understand what you mean, the letters of the main text seem kind of thin, and the Press Start seems out of center, but that part was sort of forced due to the amount of space the Scythe takes up, but who knows, I'll likely fix that soon and repost or post an updated version of it with those things fixed. As for the fire, I just went crazy on the blue fire (more than I did on the regular fire now that I think about it), I selected the colors to go from dark to light, but I wanted to make sure that I used them to make the uncontrolled look of flame more believable thanks for noticing my attention to quality... XD

Touching

Thank you, this means so much to me. ;3;

JakBaronKing responds:

Yer welcome.

Catalyst

I saw this pic and loved it, so I did a little research on the anime.
It's now my guilty pleasure.
Thanks, Sab :D
